Silent Strong Dad
He never looks for praises.
He's never one to boast.
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most.
His dreams are seldom spoken.
His wants are very few,
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken, too.
He's there...a firm foundation
Through all our storms of life,
A sturdy hand to hold onto
In times of stress and strife.
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad.
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.
I love you Dad

Simon I still really struggle to accept that you are gone, so my heart aches for Kate , Holly, Matthew, Rosie, Matt and Theo.
We shared tipsy Chinese take- aways, Sunday roasts (Pork for you and Chicken for Kate), Christmas lunches and Vodka Trifle! Our first babies and their first Christmas together. Your first child's wedding .
it is a friendship that spanned more than 30 years.
Some of them may be times long gone but they are there - embedded inside like photographic images.
We were supposed to grow old and grey together not be separated in this way.
Rest easy now - I hope Roast pork is always available and the snorkelling waters divine.
If Kate needs a sun lounger companion I will be there.
Our love always Jan, Jason, Hari (although she now prefers Annie) , Ellie, Neythen and Marcus xx
